McCain, Bush, Keating, Cheney, Paulson, we could go on...
It is difficult for nearly anyone to fully grasp the repercussions of the current economic fallout. Most people don't know or understand the story of when, how, who, where, and why it took shape. We all want to know and understand, but it's complexity is beyond the scope of most people.
What I can say is that it is going to be a very bumpy ride for quite a long time for many. I believe we are at a tipping point of our current process of capitalism, as we know it. As a democratic society we are instituting much more of an elitist socialist process and an increasingly more restricted political process likened much more to communistic or dictatorship style governance.
This is all being done through elected officials?! such irony...
Right before our eyes we are seeing the definitive aspects of our democratically elected, capitalistic society that for a period of time, in the 1940's-1960's to much of the world's view, our country was the envy and forward leading nation on the planet. There was a respect that was earned for its time with the creation of community and societal programs such as Medicare, or Social Security, and unemployment benefits, and other social or entitlement programs available. It seemed that people actually cared about other people for a while.
That is until Reagan took office and Republican party began their "Me, me, me" policies shrouded with the religious rhetoric to make people think they are doing the right thing.
The funny thing is the history of the Republican party began with the leftist and in the late 1800's and early 1900'2 turned to the right. Now, there is no more right to turn to. Te party has become as far right as anyone can get. This has alienated many of the party as they can see some of the colors of the coat as it is taken off and exposed through the terribly run campaign from McCain, as well as, the Bush campaigns and failed administration.
But, we will see as history begins to unfold in the future that the past thirty years or so of Republican party players have raped and pillaged the American people of their money and rights to a point of quiet dictatorship and socialist elitism. This distribution of wealth that McCain seems to tout daily has been exemplified by what has transpired through his actions, Bush, Bernanke, Paulson, Cheney, and many others. I'm sure their off shore accounts are now filled to the brim with green. Their Bailout or Rescue plans have given billions to the top 1% right in front of everyone. All the while they tout they are doing it all for the taxpayer...

The Democratic Experiment!
This election isn't about black or white (although, there have been some right wing pundits who have suggested just that, but that seems a bit elementary in its deduction), female or male, rich or poor. This election is solely about the future of the unknown. This election is about a country that is changing and how quickly it is changing. About a world that is transforming and looking for a country to lead it through the next phase. A country that is passing its puberty section and into its teen years. This country, this democratic experiment is on the verge of adulthood in its philosophy. It has gone through serious growing pains and is now going into a time of pre-adult experimentation.
This experimentation is necessary and desired by all people. Although they may not wish to admit it, but when people seeing the world is collapsing all around, one cannot think that the old style of politics, social policies and economics can net one different results if things are being handled the same. The world is changing rapidly, and we must all change to find new ways of working within this brave new world. That is not easy for most people to handle. It is scary to venture off into the unknown. But, it is necessary to venture off into the unknown in order to create the dynamic changes needed to grow into the world we are becoming.
What we are experiencing is a time, not much different than that of the sixties. However, due to technology we have seen this political process, war, and social changes take its positive and negative positions substantially different than back in the 1960's. The hippies are now grandparents and their ideologies have filtered into the minds and desires of their children who have new rules and tools with which to create the world they desire and wish to hand down.
The United States is a middle to right wing political base in general. Therefore, to have either a woman candidate, and an African-American candidate shows the major strides that have taken place over the past few decades. Geraldine Ferraro, back in the 1984 campaign, made quite the stir to be the first Vice Presidential candidate that was not a white male. Since this time, we have seen our first African-American Governor(Wilder), Secretary of State(Powell), and most recent the country's first females Secretary of State(Albright and Rice), and Speaker of the House(Pelosi).
We are, as a nation, more populated in the urban areas of the country. Urban area populations tend to have more higher education. Our agrarian background and rural history has tipped and it is showing in the demographic and social acceptance of the populace.
Based on the past eight years of dictato...I mean, Bush administration, in the White House, I couldn't see how any Republican would have been able to win this upcoming election, anyway. They had quite a party history of political failure, war mongering, domestic policy neglect, and debt accumulation to overcome throughout the campaign process.
With that said, I feel that this is not only a historical step for this country, but for the world at large. This election will be exemplary to the rest of the world of the changes that all have been hoping to see in this country for a long time. The hope to show the rest of the world that this democratic experiment takes different paths, but the people's path will prevail. That the rules of this experiment, albeit are sometimes (most times) slow in process, but the end result is still on path in design. It was only in the past four decades that we have seen the minority base find its way through this white male dominated system and to reach the most powerful position in the world, is a major milestone. "...to which, all men are created equal"...it just takes time.
What we will see is that the children today will have,(hopefully) at least, an eight year span to which their example of the world's most powerful position is an African-American. This new generation of children will see on the television, newspapers, magazines, and internet, on a daily basis the Obama children getting in and out of Air Force One, or the President's helicopter, or walking around the White House lawn and become a symbol of what is achievable in America today. The first family will become a beacon to the rest of the world of the change and possibilities that this grand experiment are capable of. The world will see these same images and know the strides that the people of America have overcome to reach this point.
This election holds the power to transform the youth of our country. They will see that an African-American child, raised by a single mother, is able to reach to one of the most respected colleges in the world and rise to the top of their class. The minority inner city children will see that rap music, or athletic ability are not the only out for them for their future.
This is the great Democratic Experiment at its best. We will see it shine on November 4th, 2008. We will see a new generation of thought and policy take hold with a people that want it, but have no idea how to get there. We will see a leader who has the capacity to take people where they want to go because he is a leader who sees no walls or barriers to get there, simply different paths and different approaches. We will see that there is nothing to fear but the fear itself while we continue the great democratic experiment.

What the world says...
Isolationism does not work for a country as powerful and necessary for the world as the United States. It is widely known of how the concern that the rest of the world views of the pathetic and uneducated decisions that our citizens have made and followed these past eight years with the Bush Administration. It showed its face when Obama reached Germany to give a speech, as a world citizen who is looking for change. There was a crowd of over 200,000 excited foreigners hoping to give support to a world citizen that they can follow in the future. Giving their support to a leader of a foreign country makes the statement of just how UN-popular the current situation has reached, as well as, just how necessary the next President needs to include the rest of the world and its needs and concerns into their thought patterns and decision making. We are a global community.
The most powerful country in the world, the United States, cannot maintain its position of invading sovereign countries and sending them back to the stone age in order to control the oil market of that country. The United States must become a leader of global carbon emission reduction and control. We must regain the process and leadership of negotiation and discussion with world leaders, rather than the isolationism that the past eight years have created.
The United States needs to show the world its commitment to job creation for the struggling US economy, as well as trade initiations with the emerging markets. The current economic conditions are ripe for an overhaul on our tax system, our deregulated systems of power, telecommunications, energy, and monetary systems have shown us the breakdown of greed and corruption through lack of oversight.
Through this new Obama administration we will see the appropriate leadership to create the changes necessary for this country and its welcomed overhaul of failing domestic and foreign policies.

To the Great People of America..... you are on the threshold of destiny and purpose. For those of us in the 3rd World we have had to face that unspoken 'reality' that : "only so far for 'you people' " who don't look like your past 43 Presidents... It has been a silent pain and it is eveident that its effects have permeated your urban communities........To think that the shackels can come off our minds on Nov. 4th is mind bogling. Hillary talks about her 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling.... we're talking about that other 6 billion inhabitants of the planet who couldn't see through the concrete. ......We pray that you vote your hopes; we pray that you believe enough in your Constitution and what your country is supposed to be about to act in the way that demonstrates that we are all equal in the eyes of The Creator and that you are genuinely prepared to let the man with the best ideas and vision for the future win ,rather than clinging to and re-living unresolved long past 'issues' about Vietnam. ......For the very 1st time in our lives we non-Americans are buying American flags and hoisting them on our homes and lamp poles and bicycles and OBAMA 08 stickers are everywhere.... you see.... we have a hope too. And we will be dancing in the streets all across the globe on election night because we believe in you.

I live in Central Texas (Bell County to be exact) and these are important voter election dates: Last Day to Register to Vote is October 6, 2008 First Day of Early Voting is October 20, 2008 (17 days before election day falls on a Saturday, first day moves to next business day) Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail is October 28, 2008 (it must be received, not merely postmarked) Last Day of Early Voting is October 31, 2008 If these dates are different in your neck of the wood PLEASE post them! UNIFORM ELECTION DATE IS " NOVEMBER 4, 2008" Let not became complacent in the fact that we are able to get out to the polls to cast our vote. Ensure that others are able to get out to the polls as well. YES, WE CAN! Yes we can ensure that Barrack Obama is the next PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA!!! Vote on November 4, 2008 and take somebody with you.

OBAMA! I am a former republican and a veteran. I understand all that you stand for and support you!! May God Bless you and our nation as we go forward to correct what has been wrong with our financial system, national economy, and our national education system. They are trying to do everything they can to get people to look at other things. Please understand that my family and I are voting for change and a greater nation.

There is a virus in America...
America has a virus. It has infiltrated the entire nation. It has penetrated the entire consciousness. It has affected every living person of this country.
The only solution to this sickness is for the infected to stand up and fight this illness. The people must understand that there is an antiviral to fight this illness, and it is called participation and education.
The people must begin to understand this virus that is sickening the entire nation. The virus has a tendency to put the ill and infected into a state of denial, complacency, and forgetfulness. The patients must become proactive in their fight of this disease or they will perish.
A disease is an abnormal condition of an organism that impairs bodily functions and can be deadly. It is also defined as a way of the body harming itself in an abnormal way,associated with specific symptoms and signs.
"Disease" is often used more broadly to refer to any condition that causes extreme pain, dysfunction, distress, social problems, and/or death to the person afflicted, or similar problems for those in contact with the person. In this broader sense, it sometimes includes injuries, disabilities, disorders, syndromes, infections, isolated symptoms, deviant behaviors, and atypical variations of structure and function, while in other contexts and for other purposes these may be considered distinguishable categories.
The primary virus has been located and is currently isolated within Washington D.C. The main initial carrier has been discovered to be President Bush and the Administration.
The virus is very powerful. It initially infected the main populace of the country through lies, deception, and falsehoods. The virus was too strong for the incumbent political party and was primarily misunderstood in its power and capacity for deception. The country immediately became infected and the power of the virus spread quickly and covered the entire nation, as well as infiltrated many foreign countries.
The virus has subsequently spread to a new host in hopes to carry on this campaign of fear, deception and untruths.
The audacity of hope is the cure for this virus. The infected people must understand the only way out of this illness is to distance and educate themselves of the causes of the infectious virus and quarantine the virus for a period of at least 16 years. Through this quarantine the country will be able to shake much of the visible scarring that has overtaken the country. The country will be able to work to repair the necessary bloodlines of the infection by creating new jobs, rebuilding infrastructure, breathing new life into the scared, dazed, confused and healing patients of this great country.
If the patients do not accept this cure, the country will continue to be eaten from within. The virus will continue to consume the consciousness of the country and its people will be extremely hard pressed to find a cure for this illness for many decades to come.

Is this how to run a campaign?! Saddening!!
Some of this may be difficult to watch, but the Repugnicants didn't think so. Due to their continued massive campaign to breed fear into the eyes, hearts and minds of the American public they showed this video at their convention. Although, the party and administration decided to NOT GO AFTER THE PARTIES INVOLVED IN THESE ATTACKS, and instead invaded a sovereign country, they still use this as the cornerstone of their campaign as if they have done good or right to and by any American.
This is the public apology to Americans, by Keith Olberman during the convention, for the Repugnicant's misuse of this tragedy for their own benefit. Once again proving to the American people that they have no regard for anyone but themselves and their party's success to the path to the White House.
Wake up America!! See the writing on the wall of the self centered, criminals that these people are with no regard to anyone but themselves.
I follow with the Sarah Palin story of the birth of her latest child to exemplify this point:
I heard the story of Sarah Palin and the birth of her latest kid on NPR radio. She was giving a speech in Dallas. Shortly before she was to take the stage for this speech her water broke. She was concerned that she couldn’t give the speech, as she wanted to badly. After discussion with her doctor in Alaska, she gave the speech. After the speech, any responsible mother-to-be knowing her age and the fact that she knew the child had down syndrome, would have gone to the nearest hospital. Not Sarah. No, she is “the young maverick”! She got into her car and was driven past three Children’s Hospitals in the Dallas area as they went to the airport. Upon reaching the airport she got on a plane without any concern as to the care of the other passengers, let alone the safety of the birthing child. That is due to her age, her fifth birth, down syndrome child, she got on the plane without regard to anyone else’s schedule just in case there were issues and the plane would have to do an emergency landing on her behalf. The plane went on to Seattle. One would think that then a responsible mother-to-be would find the nearest hospital as she was well into a fourth hour of labor timelines now. No, not Sarah, she is “the young maverick”! She waited another hour for the next plane to Anchorage. She got onto this plane, once again with no regard to the passengers or the baby but only herself, as she wanted the baby to be born in her small town in Alaska. Once they reach Anchorage, and upon driving through to reach her little town approx 45 minutes away , they pass by another two hospitals through Anchorage. The mother-to-be, knowing that she has a child with special needs (to which she cut the funding for in Alaska by 62% until she realized that she would be having a child with these needs) keeps going until she reaches the small town that has the largest Meth lab concentration in the state, in order to have her child.
This is a simple scene of the ignorance and arrogance of the Repugnicant VP. This example and others, such as the fact that she fired the local librarian after the woman refused to ban certain books from the library that Sarah wanted banned. The librarian was reinstated only after a public outcry…
There is the other story that Sarah and family were in DisneyLand and upon the sighting of “Goofey”, Sarah shot him…I am still checking to see if this story is true… ;-)

Once they reach Anchorage, and upon driving through to reach her little town approx 45 minutes away , they pass by another two hospitals through Anchorage. The mother-to-be, knowing that she has a child with special needs (to which she cut the funding for in Alaska by 62% until she realized that she would be having a child with these needs) keeps going until she reaches the small town that has the largest Meth lab concentration in the state, in order to have her child.
This is a simple scene of the ignorance and arrogance of the Repugnicant VP. This example and others, such as the fact that she fired the local librarian after the woman refused to ban certain books from the library that Sarah wanted banned. The librarian was reinstated only after a public outcry…
There is the other story that Sarah and family were in DisneyLand and upon the sighting of “Goofey”, Sarah shot him…I am still checking to see if this story is true… ;-)

I'm sorry but, my predictions have been correct...
I am sad to say.
This administration, and it's next wannabe team it seems, cares not about what is best for this country. But, we know this, don't we? I certainly hope so come election time or we are royally screwed. They have stalled and paused much too long and created more problems for the public taxpayer. The lack of attention and action previous to this date has now place the need for their decision to bailout out Freddie and Fannie. This has now placed a $5 Trillion negative on the country's balance sheet.
I am all for finding solutions to help the situation and the two firms out, but I am not to sure that this is the correct solution. At this time, it probably is, but what else could have been done that wasn't? Now, it goes to the taxpayers, once again, to fund this problem.
And the rebpugnicants tout "no new taxes!" My question to them is, show us how anyone in their right business mind can balance this out with no new money infusion to the system? It CANNOT be done. Especially with the Bush administration and their fiscally irresponsible clan. And you can kiss this country goodbye if McCant wins the election as he can't even balance his checkbook!! He said so to the public people stating that he is not the best person to be discussing financial issues. Shit?!
The first government bank bailout was the Bear Sterns debacle. People say that this wasn't a government bailout, however, the terms of the agreement state that the government will back any debt incurred to JP Morgan/Chase on this transaction. So, JP Morgan simply takes over the failed Bear Sterns, to which its stock holders (pension funds, retirement 401's, etc.) take the hit, while JP is guaranteed all of its money spent on the transaction. Who wouldn't do an investment like that? And, as I stated previously in this blog, the reasoning behind this rescue was the fact that Bear Sterns was one of Washington's favorite institutions for the Congresspersons, Senators, and others to funnel money through. If the financial institution would have gone bankrupt their entire documentation would have been made public in the courts. Washington couldn't have that happen...
Then IndyMac and Countrywide both go down. Both of these banks were started and run by the same group. What was done with them? Were their SEC licenses taken away? NO! Were their golden parachutes taken? NO! They were slapped a bit, and again, the stockholders (pension funds, retirement 401's) were depleted. It's no wonder that the repugnicants want to privatize social security as they are going to need all of those funds to shore up this whole financial downfall.
Now, Fannie and Freddie have gone down. The government has stated previously that they might step in to help shore up the companies in order to salvage the global mayhem that their bankruptcy's would create. Why did tey wait to do anything? Simply stating that they may step in didn't do anything except create failed institutions more time to scramble and fall farther.
My question is where does all of this bailout money come from?
The government did need to step in, although they should have done something much earlier, in order to create the facade to the global investors of the securities that the government will back their investments. At least to give the global investors the confidence that somehow someone will...

What is taking shape before our very eyes with this is that we all, approx. 70% of all home loans, will now live in government housing. Also, during these past 8 years, I give you a bit of homework to research "Eminent Domain". With the government owning or rather...backing...these institutions they now control 70% of all housing in the US. Let's see, government owned or nationalized housing is more like...communism.?!
With their record of total mismanagement it is only a matter of time when the global investors of these bonds and securities decide to cash in their debts...

Political hypocricy!
This is an educational and enlightening video that shows the hypocrisy of politics. It is amazing that people refuse to see through the rhetoric and only listen to the mis/dis-information that spews from the far right of this country.
I only hope that the voting public remembers the strain that this administration has placed upon our country through the illegalities that have transpired since day one eight years ago, the lies, the deceit, the reduction of our constitutional rights, the massive expansion of our debt, the murder and war of hundreds of thousands of lives, the lame attention to Katrina, the lame attention to our economy. This is the most failed administration this country has ever seen. Having McCain will only bring more Republican partisan ideas to the system and maintain the current failed status quo.

The untold story...
I will resume my follow up story from yesterday for tomorrow but I wanted to get this out.
There is an untold story of the Republican primaries, which, for the nearly every American has had no way of knowing, that has continued alongside the Democratic primaries, and received almost no media coverage. That story is that the Republican primaries could have been made more interesting media content due to the fact that, although, John McCain has been the “presumptive Republican nominee” since January, as late as last month, McCain squeeked out 70% in the Pennsylvania primary. I use squeeked due to the fact that even without any media coverage over 11% of the Republican primary voters went for Mike Huckabee, who had officially dropped out in February, and 16% have voiced their desires for Ron Paul.
In Idaho, just last week, Ron Paul received 24% in the Republican primary. This is an amazing figure considering the public has been fed virtually no information indicating that McCain has any opponents at all! Huckabee has consistently managed to pick up 7-10% in each state. He continued to wipe up the core religious right wing that remains of the dying Republican generation. But Ron Paul is a phenomenon that the Republican Party refuses to let the media get their hands on. They don't want to dilute the Republican vote as they know how much work it is going to be to beat the democrats anyway, let alone having problems even to this date of party unity. They present their story that the Republican Party is solid and behind McCain to a false reality, of which they have become very proficient at presenting their false realities. We can see based on these poll recent results that the Republican primaries media coverage don’t give us the full view of appropriate proportional delegate representation, as the democrats do. If they did, there would still be a race going on there with true media coverage. So, what does all of this mean?
The Republican National Convention in Minneapolis in September may have some surprises in the form of dissent from within. Only it won’t be liberal Democrats and anarchists rioting in the streets, it will be millions of those Republicans who have been trying to register their opposition to the War, to deficit spending, and to the Imperial Presidency, to which Dick Cheney has called it, the “Unitary Executive”. (whatever he is trying to make the public know what that means)
While I can agree with only a few of Dr. Paul’s libertarian ideas (those being economic ideas) I disagree with much of his conservative platform as they are contrary to my liberalism. But I find it encouraging that so many Republicans are still expressing their views and desires even with no voice afforded them by the media. I am hoping that this will shine brightly at the Republican convention and show that party the dissent it deserves. Perhaps it will be time that the reactionary Rove agenda will dissipate and delude the overall party consensus to a point that the left wing conservative will realize the party's misrepresentations that have been going on and they will finally see the manipulation of the press that the Republicans have come to control so well and side with a democratic option in Nov.
