Change has come to America!

In case you haven't heard, we have a new President elect...
Barack Hussein Obama!

The history that was made during this election campaign has shown the world that this country was not a total lost cause. We were able to pull together the people power to vote and make the votes heard despite the valiant efforts to thwart the elections and the process, as was done in previous elections. Barack did not follow the campaign into the territory that his opponent tried to take it but failed to do so, which was the race card. It was discussed and made a part of the campaign, and was an issue, but Obama would have nothing to do with it as a barrier for his success. There is no more Bradley effect, there is no more Wilder effect, but there is a new President elect!

I was talking with some friends last night, during the celebration of our new President elect Obama, that I thought that it would not be him that makes the change necessary for this country, but the country itself that will make the change. This is also what he alluded to within his acceptance speech and other stump speeches throughout the campaign trail. As one person was saying that she thought we should all be very careful and not make Obama into some kind of Christ like figure, as if he can cure all of the nations ills.

What I thought his new position and expertly run campaign exemplified was that he showed everyone that he had the power to hold this country’s new desire and vision to make the changes that he talked about daily on his campaign trail. He simply ignited what this world wants this country to bring forward. He was able to put feeling and words to what the country as a whole was looking for after these past 8 years of failed politics, policies and dreams. He has ignited what this country was yearning for, was asking for, and what the country voted for. His position is to simply hold that vision in order for the country and its people to maintain the reserve, capability and desire in order to manifest the massive changes that are necessary to move this country forward.

He has shown this quality of being the Commander in Chief through his ability to take the pot shots that the McCain campaign threw at him. He was able to see beyond, and help others see beyond the old politics as usual processes that his opponent was using for their campaign.

Obama has shown the country and the world the power of forward thinking and brought together a new mass of young, internet savvy people into politics. By creating a large group of new registered voters that have become excited about the process of politics has not happened in a very long time. He has shown that the process of campaign or policy information distribution has changed through the transforming power of the internet and viral marketing efforts that his staff understands.

Change happens, always. Most people are uncomfortable with change, as it is the unknown. But what has transpired now is that we have a new leader that is able to hold the vision of change for the country to take it on. Much like President John F Kennedy did when he sparked the mission for the people to put a man on the moon. This is a new vision for a new time that we as a people of this country will need to muster this new mission with this new leader who has shown that he is able to hold that vision in order for the people to take on the necessary actions to complete whatever tasks this country needs to right itself and get things heading toward a brighter future.

I know, DON'T VOTE!! That will teach 'em...

VOTE! Speak your peace!
Now, you can talk your talk!

This is an interesting video concept produced by Leo DiCaprio.

The idea of reverse psychology can be a very powerful motivator in many given situations. We have done the VOTE campaign, continuously. We have done the marching, and protests during the sixties. Some have even tried to abstain from governance "as a form of protest". Well that one does nothing except keep many out of the loop and a voice unheard.

The current process of election and the electoral college puts someone into office if only ONE person in the entire country votes. So...

His Audacity of hope...

I give huge cuddos to Obama for doing what he is doing and his audacity of hope. To the capacity of what he has done, and to the character to which he has represented within this campaign. The lies, deception, and mis/disinformation that the McCant people spew is a travesty to the American people, the office for which he is attempting to gain, and the system of politics in general. I am simply amazed at the responses we are hearing from people regarding this campaign. I mean really!...

There was a 27 year old woman in Nevada, that was watching McCant's VP choice speak at her first solo rally in Carson City in front of approximately 3500 people. She is an unemployed barista from Yerington, NV, who held a sign that read "Hunter Chicks 4 Palin" on one side, and "Sarah Killed My Apathy" with a drawing of a deer rifle and a target on the other. She had supported Mitt Romney in the primary, said that she cried the day of McCant's VP's acceptance speech. "I think that it's great that the American people finally have a candidate who they can relate to, with morals," said Tracy, who said the issues she cares the most about are pro-life and the right to bear arms.

I know for a fact that Obama supports the right to bear arms, he just doesn't support the right to bear an automatic weapon that spews hundreds of bullets in a minute time frame. This kind of gun is unnecessary for a citizen to possess. The Constitution that expresses the right to bear arms was written when there was no true military in America. As a militia of commoners was needed at the time, the right to bear arms was a necessity in order to have the minutemen available to protect our freedoms in the early days of our country. This was back in 1770's when the muskets used shot once and took nearly 30 seconds to reload. The right to bear arms should still be a right for Americans, but the need for the automatic weapons on our streets is unnecessary and creates street violence rather than protects citizens.

The Pro life issue is another label of banter brought to the public through the right wing Repugnicants to create public discourse to sway the people's mindset to the far right without using direct religious connotations. It simply allows someone besides the person in need to make a decision for them on their behalf. In a case of rape or incest, as an example, McCant's VP choice states that she feels that the fetus should be born and the right of the woman has no say. I don't see how someone is able to enter the home of a private citizen and have the legal right to tell them they cannot eat this or that food in the privacy of their home, or discuss this topic or that topic at the dinner table, as it is illegal. That you can enter some one's private residence and tell them that they can only do it missionary style and no fellatio, or cunnilingus as it is a "deplorable" act. To be able to make these private decisions as to how they should live their private life, without their involvement. As we all know that religious political lobbying is where those debatable thoughts are coming from, this is NO separation of church and state. Obama, believes in freedom of choice, thus allowing another person the freedom to choose given their circumstance at the time. If a woman has been raped or a child has been involved in incest and is now pregnant, there is no reason that the rapist should have more rights than the female. It was NOT her decision to be in this position. With little to no sex education in schools any longer, and the average family unit has (maybe) two working parents, with little to no time left to parent any longer, as we can see and hear from any American today, it cannot only be left to the family to educate the young on sex. It should also be a part of societal responsibility. These children are to become the future of this country and we are leaving them behind!! They need to be taught to make rational and educated decisions on all aspects of their lives so as to hold a personal debate on their own thoughts and issues in order to summon an individual response. McCant's running mate is the perfect example of her own failed policy on this issue as her underage daughter is pregnant due to the mother's lack of attention to the child in order to educate her in abstinence, to which is the policy that she pronounces to the public as the best policy for sex education. The base that the Repugnicants state that they want less government and the government to be out of the person's life is bullshit propaganda!

How about the retired Republican Marine Corps pilot and LAPD homicide detective reverently invoke the names of Gloria Steinem and Bella Abzug. But Bob Lee, 73, of Reno, praised the VP pick as "the epitome of everything that I used to see Gloria [Steinem] and Bella Abzug promoting -- American women can be all things." He noted, "Sarah didn't make it on the coattails of her husband. Hillary [Clinton] rode the coattails of Bill." I don't see it?! This fact that people are claiming that McCan't's VP choice is like Gloria Steinem or Bella Abzug is absurd. Those women fought hard for the individual rights of women. Those women were true mavericks of their time who paved the way for women to be individual and independent citizens with the same rights and freedom's that men have. Abzug became a Congresswoman stating that, "A woman's place is in the house, the house of representatives!" Her father owned the "Live and Let Live Meat Market". She supported gay rights, women's rights, minority rights...Gloria Steinem is the voice of the modern American woman and an American Woman's rights activist icon. She was a Playboy Bunny, a journalist, and a labor rights activist. I don't understand how someone is able to compare them to this woman VP choice for the Repugnicant party who wants to limit women's rights, ban books, does not support gays or minorities causes. I don't see the correlation.

How about this guy who was having breakfast Friday morning at the counter at Paul's Restaurant in Whitehall, OH. This is a blue-collar suburb of Columbus and he is a retired aircraft designer named Richard Beard. He stressed that he knew all that he needed to know to vote against Obama. "Anyone who won't salute the flag or say the Pledge of Allegiance isn't worth voting for. And Obama doesn't have an American birth certificate or one that you can believe. The one from Hawaii is a fake." An original Ron Paul supporter with an NRA cap, would have been an unlikely Democratic voter even if Obama had been born in Ohio State. Smitten with Palin, Beard said, "She doesn't throw in any of that doublespeak like other politicians." Really?! I guess he is on the bridge to nowhere...perhaps he is hoping to get a financial handout from her earmarked funds she received for the state of Alaska...I'm sure he has experience in the immigration department to validate his statement that Obama's birth certificate is a fake...my god, where do these people come from?! Perhaps he just doesn't want to admit he is a racist! Plain and simple. Let the elephant out so all can see!

This is my reasoning to state that there are many Americans that are blinded by rhetoric and are incapable to think rationally and are part of the lemming society. Sad...

Can history finally teach us...

I have stated many, many times herein that for those that travel outside of the US, (Palin would NOT be one of them) know that the rest of world thinks that Americans are lemming idiots(McCant/Palin believe this to be true based on their continued lies and deception to win the White House). There is much of the time that I can tend to agree. I now can state, that based on the myriad of emails here that this rings so true.

Rome did fall, and history seems to teach us nothing, so perhaps it is America's time to dwindle. The flag waving right wingers will state that I am unpatriotic to say something like that, (although being a true patriot is challenging what our leaders are doing rather then simple saying...ok! Go ahead and fuck me some more...)but I would state back that you get what you vote for. And since America has voted like "stupid" lemmings we are in the mess we are in.

It's historically typical banter and style for the Repugnicants to lie, cheat and steal their way into office to which they fuck shit up during their tenure. Then the democrats come in with the need to raise taxes to save our country from the demise that a previous term(s) of Repugnicants have done. The people come to not see this as saving anything, then get irritated at the situation as soon as the Repugnicants begin again to lie, cheat and steal with mis/disinformation which eventually gets them back in to the White House to do the same shit all over again.

If more of our country learned to and actually read, people would begin to learn about history and the nations ills and why we are where we are at, and just why the rest of the world thinks so lowly of our people.

It is a sad Catch 22, and unless our educational system gets better funding and teachers to educate our decreasing graduating populace, we will continue the degrading of this great country to become the next Rome.

I do have optimism that Obama will rise and the people will wake up in time, in order to help turn a new page in this country's history. If this does not happen in the next 60 days, and our lemmings once again vote "stupid" and we inaugurate the McCant/Pain ticket I then feel that this country has had its last leg...We can see that, more or less of, the rest of the world is hoping that Obama come into office based on the many responses here, the showing in Germany, and more.

The current administration has been pondering their legacy in these last months as they begin to see their exit. What to put into their libraries and such. Maybe these guys just shouldn't have a library, since do to their FAILED "no child left behind" education plan, that has left more uneducated people to our society who can't read what will be in the library anyway...The fact that they should ponder is that they have plundered this country into the ground, continue to run it further into bankruptcy with the bank bailouts by the taxpayer monies, and left it to the dogs, without caring a bit and the world knows it. All the while smiling straight into our faces...Worse than that, the world know that we as an American populace watched it all happen, did nothing during the demise to stop their carnage. That is a shame!

As an American, I feel the urge to apologize to the world for the past 8 years. But, since the beginning of even the thought that Bush/Dick would be in office I have screamed as much as possible for that NOT to happen...but it did. The fact that it did, I apologize for that. Perhaps I didn't scream loud enough?!

At any rate, Obama will come in and begin to clean things up. Perhaps doing well enough for eight years. While we have a Democratic house and Senate we can really make some needed changes to help put not only this country back on a civilized track, but put us inline with the rest of the world to help turn the global community into a cohesive unit that can begin to make the needed changes that the world needs in order to survive. We are at a crucial moment in our planet history and if we do not heed the call not only will this modern Rome die, but it just might take this blue marble down with it...

Vote Obama/Biden for real change, not the fake change filled with lies, deceit, greed and oligarchy!

I guess I'm done for the day...

Is this how to run a campaign?! Saddening!!

Some of this may be difficult to watch, but the Repugnicants didn't think so. Due to their continued massive campaign to breed fear into the eyes, hearts and minds of the American public they showed this video at their convention. Although, the party and administration decided to NOT GO AFTER THE PARTIES INVOLVED IN THESE ATTACKS, and instead invaded a sovereign country, they still use this as the cornerstone of their campaign as if they have done good or right to and by any American.

This is the public apology to Americans, by Keith Olberman during the convention, for the Repugnicant's misuse of this tragedy for their own benefit. Once again proving to the American people that they have no regard for anyone but themselves and their party's success to the path to the White House.

Wake up America!! See the writing on the wall of the self centered, criminals that these people are with no regard to anyone but themselves.

I follow with the Sarah Palin story of the birth of her latest child to exemplify this point:

I heard the story of Sarah Palin and the birth of her latest kid on NPR radio. She was giving a speech in Dallas. Shortly before she was to take the stage for this speech her water broke. She was concerned that she couldn’t give the speech, as she wanted to badly. After discussion with her doctor in Alaska, she gave the speech. After the speech, any responsible mother-to-be knowing her age and the fact that she knew the child had down syndrome, would have gone to the nearest hospital. Not Sarah. No, she is “the young maverick”! She got into her car and was driven past three Children’s Hospitals in the Dallas area as they went to the airport. Upon reaching the airport she got on a plane without any concern as to the care of the other passengers, let alone the safety of the birthing child. That is due to her age, her fifth birth, down syndrome child, she got on the plane without regard to anyone else’s schedule just in case there were issues and the plane would have to do an emergency landing on her behalf. The plane went on to Seattle. One would think that then a responsible mother-to-be would find the nearest hospital as she was well into a fourth hour of labor timelines now. No, not Sarah, she is “the young maverick”! She waited another hour for the next plane to Anchorage. She got onto this plane, once again with no regard to the passengers or the baby but only herself, as she wanted the baby to be born in her small town in Alaska. Once they reach Anchorage, and upon driving through to reach her little town approx 45 minutes away , they pass by another two hospitals through Anchorage. The mother-to-be, knowing that she has a child with special needs (to which she cut the funding for in Alaska by 62% until she realized that she would be having a child with these needs) keeps going until she reaches the small town that has the largest Meth lab concentration in the state, in order to have her child.

This is a simple scene of the ignorance and arrogance of the Repugnicant VP. This example and others, such as the fact that she fired the local librarian after the woman refused to ban certain books from the library that Sarah wanted banned. The librarian was reinstated only after a public outcry…

There is the other story that Sarah and family were in DisneyLand and upon the sighting of “Goofey”, Sarah shot him…I am still checking to see if this story is true… ;-)

Come on are you serious?!

Sarah Palin? No offense Sarah, but I feel for you to accept this position is a slap in the face of the people of this country. Perhaps spending a little more time in the political and public arena would be a better move before taking on this position. I do want a woman to be in the White House, but one with some experience. Shit!

When I was listening to this yesterday on NPR I was nearly driving off the road with amazement that this was even taking place. The idea that this hockey mom (no offense to women, but this country needed a woman with some Washington experience not simply experience of being a woman) is ready to go Saudi Arabia or Iran or Darfur and Congo, and deal with the highly political needs of the world and this country and representing the most powerful country on the planet, if John McCain becomes John McCant due to death or sickness, this is a travesty. I am not Republican, but if I were I would be shamed and change my party. This is such a slap in the face to this country and what it means to the job of President or Vice President of the United States. I must say, though, that from political posturing, it is a fairly good move. But this shows a lack of regard for the respect of this country and the power of the position that this is to be filled. A major slap of disrespect to the people of this country due to that.

The fact that the Repugnicants are using her down syndrome child as a point of character for her is another sorry case for this election process. With so many other parents throughout the US that have a Down child, does this make them capable of being in the VP position? They are soccer moms, too!? They have written checks at the grocery store and balance their family checkbook, too! Shit, even McCain doesn’t do that and he’s going for president.

Her being governor for only 18 months of the state of Alaska, and she is already being investigated for misuse of her power makes her a perfect Republican candidate. She is right in there with her party for sure on that!

At least, it was four years ago, when the Democrats introduced Obama to the world stage at the previous convention to which he gave a speech that blew everyone away. Then he went on to be a part of global politics in the Senate. What he stated then, and what he stated the other night exemplifies his passion for this country and the people. This is simply an act that represents this party’s passion for themselves.

Her background in politics is so short it is a joke to this system for the assumption that she is ready for this position. I’m sure that behind closed doors there was a payoff of some sort to her family that she do this, step into the background and shut the hell up. For the Repugnicants to put a woman in power and for her to assume that she will have any power from this party is a joke. Anonz, a republican blog participant from my favorite blog, A Day in the Life... has given us quite the background on these issues previously.

I am blown away by this action. If the public makes this one happen there is literally no more help for this country. The lemmings of thoughtless or no common sensed voting practices of this country will certainly put this country to shame throughout the world to a point to which it will take generations to repair.

What Obama said, that this isn’t about him and it was about the public, should be the mantra at this point forward. What the Repugnicants are doing here is what Bush has done for 8 years is slap everyone in the face while laughing at us as he and the party cronies and elitists have their way with this country and world at everyone else’s expense while the public smiles, bends over, and takes the repugnicants “desired to be” big one up the ass!

This is probably the saddest moment in our country’s history!

Best Vacation spots, Paris...Politics?

Well, I think we have now seen it all. I think I said that last week too...

When Kennedy was running for President and became the first Presidential candidate on television it was clear then that this forum would be a new a powerful medium to get politics to the broad populace. Plus, it helped that he looked good, spoke good, had good ideas, was successful, and had a great looking wife and kids...

Well, now 45 years later, we have a new horizon. Is what it took then good enough for the White House. Obama, looks good, speaks good, has some good ideas, is successful, has a good looking wife and kids, I'd say yes...McCain doesn't really look good anymore, doesn't speak well, doesn't really have good ideas, has a good looking wife...is this enough for the White House?

Now, we reach a new playing field through technology, the elite family money, and celebrity politics as we will see in this video...

It's a brave new world out there folks! You gotta love it!

Never did I think that I might see this woman say something, even if she didn't think it or write it, that would have some substance to it. Perhaps her writers should move to the McCant camp to help them out a bit.

Friday, August 1, 2008

It was just a matter of time!

The Repugnicants have played the race card! Although, they are trying to put the blame onto Obama's camp.

The McCain camp has stated that Obama responded recently to the continued campaigning of McCant by stating, "So nobody really thinks that Bush or McCain have a real answer for the challenges we face, so what they're going to try to do is make you scared of me," Obama said in Springfield, Missouri. "You know, he's not patriotic enough. He's got a funny name. You know, he doesn't look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills, you know. He's risky. That's essentially the argument they're making."

Without a pause, the Repugnicants went forward with the race card response in order move voters subconscious into the thinking that this was the issue at hand. Perhaps, Obama was referring to the fact that he is YOUNG. Every picture of an president on a dollar bill is "old" looking, like McCain. Perhaps, his quip was regarding that McCant is old and TOO OLD to be running the country.

Besides this possiblilty, I would also say that it is a given that a black man will have a different set of words and semantics regarding his position on any issue, just as a woman would over a white man, as well. This is not to say that the person using the statement is playing "the race card" whatsoever.

Thusly, the strategy of the Repugnicants will be to run away with the negativity and play the race dis-information card. They know that this is their only card to play as they have no agenda, just like moving forward with the war in Iraq to which they have blundered. With NO agenda, or new ideas for helping the country the candidate will always go to a smear campaign. We have seen this time and time again.

Just as Obama is moving forward with real issues, such as the economy and energy concerns, McCant knew they would have nothing to come back with positively for their campaign so they went for the jugular. It is well known how the human psyche works in regard to negative information. The catch phrase with the news media is that if it bleeds it leads. So, negative news is always on more than positive news. People react to negative and become complacent with positive.

This goes back to where I was headed a few days ago. It has come a time in our society that we MUST see through the mess of mis and dis-information that our media and politicians feed us as news and information.

Obama, McCant camp said, is more like Paris Hilton or Britney Spears. This is what sparked the comment tha Obama does not look like a President that is on one of our dollar bills and such. Obama is clearly stating that he has pulled a huge grassroots movement with the younger voting public which has created a societal movement. This has given him a popularity that McCain will never enjoy. This kind of popularity is something that has not happened since Kennedy and it is scaring the Repugnicants.

It has nothing to do with being black. Although, this response will hold the most power and response from the general public due to the inherent race issues underlining our society at large still today.

It is time we move beyond these smear tactics and think more deeply about the issues on the table and who is best to serve those issues. As the Repugnicants bringing up the racial issues and trying to convince the public that this is the issue is a simple tactic to move the mind away from the fact that McCain has NO stance on ANY issue. And if he did he would forget it and change his mind on it if the public moved in a different direction.

Obama, black or white, is a man who makes decisions and stands by them a lot more than any other modern politician. Perhaps this is what is scaring the public as they are not used to seeing someone with a bit more character running for the White House.

Well, it is time for CHANGE!

8 more months to go...

It looks as though Bush has finally gone grocery shopping or something. With today's economic outlook by saying that there is trouble in the economy...Perhaps he is trying to open up dialogue with McCain regarding money and economics. As McCain has admitted that he doesn't know much about economics...Since Bush knows only how to spend it it might be time that he becomes aware that there even something called a budget. Perhaps it was an unknown to him all of this time. Maybe he thought that didn't pertain to him. Based on his history of putting companies into the ground, perhaps for his Presidential legacy he is thinking that it might not be the best idea to run the United States into bankruptcy. Perhaps he has decided to wake up and think of the future for once. He has two daughters who one day might feel the implications of his legacy. Maybe everything they touch will turn to shit too, and they might need to know how to work within a budget...I doubt that.

But most do have a budget, and they are getting smaller and smaller.

It's funny though. In other countries people make themselves known by going out and voicing their irritation to the system they have. With the changes in our civil liberties if we do that here in the U.S. anymore we will be called terrorist sympathizers and disappear or be put in Gtmo...Maybe that is why our people roll over and play dead anymore. It is for the fear of telling the truth and losing your life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Happiness is losing in this country anymore, along with liberty. Life is still around, but with our medical system going to shit we may find that that is going down as well.

There is a lot of work to do in this country to get things moving in the right direction. I feel we still have the capability to do the changes necessary for our country and the world.

8 more months to go...

Politics as usual

It looks as though we will soon be experiencing the natural turn of events of political campaigns that none of us enjoy. That turn is the campaign commercials, interviews, and stories that begin to take a negative bent. I find it amazing how candidates can work together on delicate issues within their party, as well as across the isle, yet find ways of negating some of that work or results as they try to degrade the opposing candidate(s). This comes from the breeding of fear that our politicians have come to learn as to be an integral part of human nature and decision making. If you recall, I have discussed numerous times the book "Mobs, Messiahs, and Markets" by Bonner. This book explains the process of fear, mob mentality, how it can grow exponentially, and how it directly affects decision making on a mass scale. It is proven that people will begin to change their own individual thought out decisions and go against their beliefs to a new belief structure simply based on "the norm".

People fear fear, as Franklin D Roosevelt said, "...We have nothing to fear but fear itself." This should be the line, and perhaps the only line we should begin to remember. It is the fear that begins to cloud our decision making. It is fear that begins to cloud our belief systems. It is fear that begins to blind us from truth. If we allow the fear based decisions to enter and take over through a mass belief structure, rather than our own investigated and thought out decisions, we will find ourselves in situations we did not originally desire to be in.

Most people today do not take the time to find their own answers. They wait for the press to feed them the fodder of a mass campaign of ideas in order to sway the public to the ideals held by the corporate parent company of the network delivering the information. There used to be a time when the press was not biased in their views, but those days are long gone. Yes we do still have a few reporters who come forward and give us less filtered information, but even with the most respected news institutions you will find a pattern of opinions and views to which their readers begin to be comfortable with. As an example, Fox News tends to take a right winged slant on issues, while the NY Times tends to stay on the left side of things. Most people do not recognize this as a pattern. If we don't try to find these patterns with the various institutions we will continue to go down the same path. It is time we become independent thinkers, weed through the maze of institutional information. People need to take a bit more time to research some of these important decisions for themselves.

As politicians might spit out negative information, with a simple google search, one might find this information to be incorrect or not the whole story. This web of lies or deception in order to confuse and breed fear of your decisions is what the purpose for those type of ads are for. It is that fear based mentality that campaign organizers rely on when they begin this process we are about to enter.

I ask of you to tread lightly as we enter this new campaign arena of negativity. Take a bit of time to sift through the information when you find yourself beginning to switch your decisions or ideas.
