Treasonous Hannity...

I am amazed at the FOX noize network and what they contrive as news. In a recent interview with Dick Cheney and the lying style of "Enquirer" antics of news reporting from Sean Hannity, he asks Cheney if it was dangerous for Barack Obama, (Fox network never calls him our nations President,) to be photographed shaking hands with dictators such as Hugo Chavez!

First, Hugo Chavez is not a dictator. He is a freely elected official. Whether the right wing, or any wing of, for America likes this or not.

He is asking Cheney this quesiton?! Cheney has spent decades being photographed with the dictators that the administrations he has worked with created. With the Reagan Administration, who illegally sold arms to Iran, there are countless shots with Rumsfeld or Cheney doing business with the now criminal state they profess to be so dangerous to our country. They created this criminal country.

There are countless shots and business dealings with Rumsfeld and Cheney creating the regime that Saddam Hussein built. That same regime that they in turn turned on and declared dangerous to the world and decided to start the failed waste of a war. The Administrations to which Cheney and Rummy belonged to built this regime as well.

Yet, Hannity and his insanity, has the gall to make up the threat that our President, Obama, is dangerous in shaking hands with Chavez?! A freely elected official?!

Oh, by the by, Happy Earth Day!! Stop listening to FOX and save the earth!!

The Insanity of Hannity

Forgive me, readers, it has been a little while since my last...Oh, wow, that almost seemed like a confession booth statement. Government and religion don't mix.

We need to remember about the separation of church and state...

I thought that I would try to broaden my horizons, this past week. I did so by attempting to watch FOX Noize...I mean, FOX News. I was dumbfounded by the lies and deception they continue to spew. I don't know why I was astonished, as I have caught glimpses of the network before. I watched in order to try to hear "the other side" and what ideas they might have on some of the political issues at hand.

I watched Sean Hannity spew nothing for nearly an hour. I watched Bill O'Riley, once again, show the world that he really is an idiot. I watched Karl Rove attempt to educated his followers...all three of them...

It seemed that Sean Hannity was spouting that the democrats have created a platform of fear. He stated that they were trying to push the economic stimulus package through by stating that if things don't get signed and moving forward the economy will continue to go into the abyss.

Uh...yeah! The abyss created by the lies and deceit of the fear breeding, do nothing, no accountability administration of the past eight years. Cheney came on and spread the misinformation that this administration needs to continue to handle the war on terror with the same aggression that the Bush team did or they will fail. What he was really trying to say was that he hoped that the Obama administration would do the same things that the Bush administration did so that when Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bush go to court for their crimes against humanity they will have this new administration doing what they did so they could have a means of defense. It is the same kind of bullshit that they tried to give us on inauguration day by having us feel sorry for Cheney since he was in a wheel chair because he hurt himself moving a box. This is a racist, sexist, man, a multi-multi-millionaire who has had numerous heart operations, with a pace maker trying to tell the public that he picked up a box...one heavy enough to get hurt? That he is just like us...? Right...

The Repugnicants, who orchestrated a blank check attempt at the first bailout to the corporations with NO accountability are attempting to act to the American people that they care for their well being and the amount of money that is necessary to be distributed through an economic stimulus package. FOX is telling its viewers that the fear mongering democrats are trying to posit that the world will collapse if this money gets tied up in legislation.

Hey, news flash, the hundreds of BILLIONS of money that the Repugs have pulled out of the taxpayers pockets thus far has done NOTHING!!!! The world has collapsed!! This was pissed away very quickly when the repugs, in Sept./Oct., ordered the money to be released ASAP in order to "shore up the economy". Their faithful at the corporations have kept it all. So, much for the taxpayer...But, now, the Repugs care about the taxpayer's well being.

I find it unbelievable that people buy the messages of O'Riley and Hannity. It is time that we remember a few things. It is the public's job to read between the nonsense. To recall the failed policies of 8 years. Nothing major, just, the fall of the global economy on Bush's watch. The fall of the faith in truth and oversight in government on Bush's watch. The fall of the separation of church and state on Bush's watch. The fall of the global trust as a well meaning nation on Bush's watch. The lies and distortions in order to invade a sovereign country and murder hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians on Bush's watch.

Speaking of the separation of church and state, have you heard about the new administrations government program being created for faith based initiatives? Yeah, it is being put together and touted that this government program will have an oversight committee to make sure that it maintains its separation of church and state. Uh...but...nevermind.

This letter says it all, Bush is leaving real soon!!

Friends,

They could have given the loan on the condition that the automakers start building only cars and mass transit that reduce our dependency on oil.

They could have given the loan on the condition that the automakers build cars that reduce global warming.

They could have given the loan on the condition that the automakers withdraw their many lawsuits against state governments in their attempts to not comply with our environmental laws.

They could have given the loan on the condition that the management team which drove these once-great manufacturers into the ground resign and be replaced with a team who understands the transportation needs of the 21st century.

Yes, they could have given the loan for any of these reasons because, in the end, to lose our manufacturing infrastructure and throw 3 million people out of work would be a catastrophe.

But instead, the Senate said, we'll give you the loan only if the factory workers take a $20 an hour cut in wages, pension and health care. That's right. After giving billions to Wall Street hucksters and criminal investment bankers -- billions with no strings attached and, as we have since learned, no oversight whatsoever -- the Senate decided it is more important to break a union, more important to throw middle class wage earners into the ranks of the working poor than to prevent the total collapse of industrial America.

We have a little more than a month to go of this madness. As I sit here in Michigan today, tens of thousands of hard working, honest, decent Americans do not believe they can make it to January 20th. The malaise here is astounding. Why must they suffer because of the mistakes of every CEO from Roger Smith to Rick Wagoner? Make management and the boards of directors and the shareholders pay for this.

Of course that is heresy to the 31 Republicans who decided to blame the poor, miserable autoworkers for this mess. And our wonderful media complied with their spin on the morning news shows: "UAW Refuses to Give Concessions Killing Auto Bailout Bill." In fact the UAW has given concession after concession, reduced their benefits, agreed to get rid of the Jobs Bank and agreed to make it harder for their retirees to live from week to week. Yes! That's what we need to do! It's the Jobs Bank and the old people who have led the nation to economic ruin!

But even doing all that wasn't enough to satisfy the bastard Republicans. These Senate vampires wanted blood. Blue collar blood. You see, they weren't opposed to the bailout because they believed in the free market or capitalism. No, they were opposed to the bailout because they're opposed to workers making a decent wage. In their rage, they were driven to destroy the backbone of this country, not because the UAW hadn't given back enough, but because the UAW hadn't given up.

It appears that the sitting President has been looking for a way to end his reign by one magnanimous act, just like a warlord on his feast day. He will put his finger in the dyke, and the fragile mess of an auto industry will eke through the next few months.

That will give the Senate enough time to demand that the bankers and investment sharks who've already swiped nearly half of the $700 billion gift a chance to make the offer of cutting their pay.

Fat chance.

Yours,
Michael Moore

I know, and so appreciate, the left slant that this writer, director, producer, and cause fighter can create in his movies and documentaries, but I also know of the corruption, lies, deceit, and failures to nearly anything that this current administration has done for eight years to the hard working American, this great country and the repercussions now around the world.

I must side with Michael Moore fully on this issue. It is a travesty to what has transpired in this country with the Bush/Cheney team. It is now time that the courts have their day with this administration and show the world that this country will not stand for these kind of murderous, corrupt, thieves in the White House and on Wall Street. It is time we fill the prisons with white collar criminals for a change.

McCain, Bush, Keating, Cheney, Paulson, we could go on...

It is difficult for nearly anyone to fully grasp the repercussions of the current economic fallout. Most people don't know or understand the story of when, how, who, where, and why it took shape. We all want to know and understand, but it's complexity is beyond the scope of most people.

What I can say is that it is going to be a very bumpy ride for quite a long time for many. I believe we are at a tipping point of our current process of capitalism, as we know it. As a democratic society we are instituting much more of an elitist socialist process and an increasingly more restricted political process likened much more to communistic or dictatorship style governance.

This is all being done through elected officials?! such irony...

Right before our eyes we are seeing the definitive aspects of our democratically elected, capitalistic society that for a period of time, in the 1940's-1960's to much of the world's view, our country was the envy and forward leading nation on the planet. There was a respect that was earned for its time with the creation of community and societal programs such as Medicare, or Social Security, and unemployment benefits, and other social or entitlement programs available. It seemed that people actually cared about other people for a while.

That is until Reagan took office and Republican party began their "Me, me, me" policies shrouded with the religious rhetoric to make people think they are doing the right thing.

The funny thing is the history of the Republican party began with the leftist and in the late 1800's and early 1900'2 turned to the right. Now, there is no more right to turn to. Te party has become as far right as anyone can get. This has alienated many of the party as they can see some of the colors of the coat as it is taken off and exposed through the terribly run campaign from McCain, as well as, the Bush campaigns and failed administration.

But, we will see as history begins to unfold in the future that the past thirty years or so of Republican party players have raped and pillaged the American people of their money and rights to a point of quiet dictatorship and socialist elitism. This distribution of wealth that McCain seems to tout daily has been exemplified by what has transpired through his actions, Bush, Bernanke, Paulson, Cheney, and many others. I'm sure their off shore accounts are now filled to the brim with green. Their Bailout or Rescue plans have given billions to the top 1% right in front of everyone. All the while they tout they are doing it all for the taxpayer...

Thanks, I feel better already...

The Billionare next door? Or overseas...

I will start today with a quote by Thomas Jefferson in a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin in 1802:

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

To truly understand what Bush, Cheney, Bernanke, and Paulson, and the .5% elitists are attempting to do with their "brilliant" ideas to strongarm our House and Senate to pass the "BailOut Package" is to create more unregulated options for the elite to buy stock.

You see, we are currently in the beginning stages of an unprecedented global financial boom. It may be hard to see right now, but that is part of the reason why. This is going to be bigger, longer lasting and with even a greater number of impossibly predictable outcomes than we've ever seen or thought before. The top wealthiest people have been preparing and are currently putting their ducks in a row, so to speak. By doing so, the "average Joe six pack" or "Joe the plumber" is getting left behind. The funny thing is, they have convinced the average taxpayer that is all in their best interests.

According to the highly read and financial industry respected report recently released by McKinsey Global Institute, from years 2005 to 2010 alone, the value of all the stocks, bonds, CDs and other financial assets held worldwide will soar from $118 trillion to $200 trillion. That’s an increase of $82 trillion in 5 years, or 69% in five years!

As I have stated previously in this blog, in the articleThere's a hole in my pocket we are experiencing the largest redistribution of wealth this world has ever seen. It is so profound it will also radically alter the global economic pecking order in a huge fashion.

Right now, Asia and the United States each account for 28% of the world economy. The World Bank estimates that America’s share of the world economy will slip a bit, dropping to 24% by 2030. But Asia’s share will double, reaching a staggering 55%. This simply means that the Asia of tomorrow will be twice as economically powerful as the United States is today. Why is that? And how can we get in the game? Let's take a look.

Our current means of portfolio investment has been coached to us, by our financial industry brokers over the past, you know those people on Wall Street that are the most privy to the rules of the game that helped create and fuel this economic crisis we have found ourselves in, to hold 5%-15% of international funds in ones portfolio. Perhaps you can begin to see that this will be a negative trend in ones future portfolio based on these two paragraphs alone. Keeping this pace, U.S. investor will soon realize that they are being left behind financially. Based on these changing economic indicators and global expansion we need to change our investing practices, not only for an individual investor to survive, but for our country to stay in the game. The questions is, can we?

Jeremy Siegel is a Wharton Professor and best-selling author who recently said investors should should have 40% of their holdings in overseas investments. If the government continues to allow, and pay tax credits (according the the Bush administration and the McCain campaign)for our corporations to send jobs overseas, doesn't it seem prudent to put your money there? It is best to invest in the companies that are the most profitable, right? Not a very American thing to do on both counts, but money has no allegiance to any country.

Doing that though is not as easy as one would think. You see the average American doesn't have the access to the market information that is necessary to capitalize and profit from the Asian boom. Getting your hands on the market intelligence is not as easy as one would like. The seasoned, wealth and well connected investors can and do.

Wall Street has know about this economic trend for a long time, and some could say, are helping to drive this global economic boom. Why do you think there is such a sell off in our stock market today? Perhaps it is partly based because the largest investors and institutions are buying overseas. I mean, have you ever had the chance to be in on an IPO? Chances are NO. These are saved for the wealthiest and largest investors. The rules are different.

Even investors who see and understand what’s happening could end up watching this wealth explosion from the bottom end of the ladder to success. That’s because federal regulations prohibit most American investors from buying many foreign stocks, even though overseas markets clearly will offer the greatest returns in the months and years to come.

Here is why...If a foreign company isn’t registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, its shares are off-limits to most investors. Due to the costly registration process and myriad of paperwork it is discouraging many of these foreign companies from listing even American Depository Receipts (ADRs), a type of security U.S. investors trust and are willing to buy. These financial vehicles are easy to trade for the average investor, but becoming harder to come by.

Wealthy investors don’t have this dilemma. There is an obscure SEC regulation, Rule 144A, allows them to circumnavigate that rule and form investment pools through investment banks, so they can buy foreign-company shares.

Now, you can begin to see why the $700 Billion is going to the banks and bailing out the wealthy and not the average Joe sixpack...The big question I have then, is when will it reach the little guy? That trickly down thing we all seem to hear about but never see the advantage of?

We'll be looking into this in the coming weeks and bring what information we can muster to the Banter Table. Stay tuned.
