If you already own a 1986 Dodge, non-hybrid, gas guzzler and cannot wait for or able to afford a hybrid, what to do with all of this CO2 mumbo jumbo?
How about giving your vehicle a proper tune up. This action alone can increase your gas mileage 4% and many times much more. Replacing your air filter with a new can boost the efficiency of the engine 10%. It is easy to keep the tires properly inflated and you should check this once a month. This action can improve mileage 3%. With this said, if you can boost your mileage from 20 to 24mpg your old clunker will put 200 fewer pounds of CO2 in the air each year.
A little can go a long way.
